Sacred Geometry and Platonic Solids

Both people who are considered healers and vibrational therapists work with the connection that comes from energy vibrations, which produce certain forms (hence the concept of sacred geometry and platonic solids) in order to heal, balance, energetically charge and protect human beings and living beings.

We talked about how everything is, that it is the creative energy of sustenance, maintenance and development of the entire universe. To understand sacred geometry, it is necessary to give rise to the multiple manifestations that exist, it can be sublimely observed in objects ranging from microscopic crystals to the distribution of the petals of a flower.

Many of these apparently hidden symbols have been identified by different cultures., often attributed to the mind of God and his work, which gives these codes a divine quality and positive energy that has caused these geometric shapes to be found often in the sacred buildings and in the devotional art of many societies around the world.

Sacred geometry can be seen in Tibetan mandalas, the flower of life, Metatron’s Cube, in some of the labyrinths of various European regions, the design of certain sites considered sacred, in the structures of churches, cathedrals and mosques, as well as in esoteric symbols we can observe it, since they are based on inspiration to this geometry based on its properties.

With the passing of time, many have studied geometric figures, highlighting their knowledge in many books, but the one that is best known today is Drunvalo Melchizedek, who has written several books detailing relevant information about Sacred Geometry and the Flower of the Lifetime.

    What are platonic solids?

When the human being created and analyzed the infinity of solid forms found in space, it was discovered that there are only five solids that have certain characteristics in common, all can be enclosed in a sphere, all can be inscribed within a sphere, all their faces are identical, their edges have the same length, and all their vertices are identical to each other. These solids are called Plato’s solids.

The name platonic solid is in honor of the Greek philosopher Plato, who claims to have studied them in the first instance, they are also known as cosmic bodies, Pythagorean solids, perfect solids, Plato’s polyhedra.

Five three-dimensional solids with equal edges, angles and faces, bear names: tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, icosahedronand dodecahedron, among which it is stated that, of the fifth combination, that is to say the “dodecahedron”, it was the one used by the same God to draw the plan of the universe. Then we will wonder why there are only 5 platonic solids?

The answer is simple: it is impossible to build another solid different from the ones mentioned above, which simultaneously meet all the required properties, that is, convexity and regularity.

We are going to describe the platonic solids and their meanings as follows:

    • El Tetraedro (4) es considerado el elemento del fuego, portador de la sabiduría y manifestaciones. It is associated with love and connection with a higher being.
    • The Hexahedron or Cube(6) is considered the element of earth, carrier of the connection with life and nature, certifying our purpose on the physical plane.
    • El Octaedro (8) es considerado el elemento del aire, portador de la integración, de la perfección de la materia por el espíritu y de la sabiduría. It is associated with the center of love and compassion.
The seed of life is associated with it.

History of the Platonic Solids and their meaning

According to experts in the area, the first to expose knowledge about these geometric shapes were the Egyptians and the Chinese, who for more than 36 centuries have studied them as mathematical expressions of how matter appears in the universe.

The oldest writings date back to the 15th century BC, used as superior knowledge in Egyptian culture, making it sacred geometry, a reference to the divine and the model science. It was also known in other ancient cultures such as Babylon, Tibet and the Greeks, who already had this knowledge, in addition to their own versions.

For a long time these geometric shapes were studied, but it was the Greeks who gave them greater meaning and importance. Historical characters such as Plato, Pythagoras, Euclid, among others, provided real evidence of the existence of these geometric figures, determining the length of the edges, the shape, and attributing the representation of each one within the universe.

Each platonic solid has a symbology, forming part of a transformation cycle that plays with them at all times, linking the world’s energy to transform it into life, and being present in the chakras, immeasurable energy points within the human body.

    Beliefs regarding the Platonic Solids

The belief has led to the conclusion that everything around us is made up of them, seen in all existing areas and discovered so far. For many, these forms are what generate the energy that flows in the universe.

These geometric figures are used in cultures such as Freemasonry, hermeticism, occultism, among others, to give value and meaning to the way the world works, the way men and women are represented, and nature as a whole. . In religions such as Christianity, Muslim, among others; represents the divinity of everything that surrounds us and the existence of a superior being that shapes the universe.

For many scientists, the existence of these polyhedrons explains why many life forms, the behavior of celestial bodies, is even applicable in areas such as mathematics, literature, medicine, among others. The Platonic Solids have always existed and will continue to be an object of study for many. They are the essence of everything related to life and the creation of the universe.
