The terrace houses of Ephesus are located on the hill, opposite the Temple of Hadrian. They are covered with protective roofs that resemble Roman houses. There are six residential units on three terraces at the lower end of the slope of Bulbul Mountain. The oldest building dates back to the 1st century BC and continued in use as a residence until the 7th AD. Excavations for these terrace houses began in 1960.

The flower of life symbol is located on the floor of the first house in Ephesus, Curetes Street, near the Celsius Library and measures approximately 8 m2.
